ZE Energy Secures €54M in Funding from Amundi, Demeter, and Sorgies

ZE Energy, a renewable energy producer specializing in solar power with integrated storage solutions, has successfully raised €54 million. This capital infusion is spearheaded by Amundi Energy Transition, through their Infrastructure Investment Core+ fund, and Demeter's Climate Infrastructure Fund. ZE Energy also receives continued support from longstanding shareholder Sorgies, alongside Marguerite, HTGF, and ZE WAY INVEST. Established in 2019, ZE Energy focuses on developing hybrid solar power plants that combine photovoltaic technology with battery energy storage systems, catering primarily to continental Europe. The company aims to use the newly raised capital to further its European expansion plans, aspiring to achieve projects with a combined capacity of over 900 MW in photovoltaic and 600 MWh of storage by the end of 2026. The investment by Amundi aligns with their Core+ investment strategy, envisioning solar energy combined with storage as a pivotal element in decarbonizing the electricity grid. Demeter provides additional backing, viewing ZE Energy's hybrid assets as fitting perfectly within their Climate Infrastructure Fund's vision, to fuel growth domestically and internationally. The importance of adaptable energy solutions is underscored by Sorgies' Executive Board Chairman, emphasizing the significance of their continued partnership in the energy transition.
