Zayndu Boosted by Further £1.0 Million Investment

Foresight Group has announced a further £1.0 million investment in Zayndu Limited as part of a £1.5 million funding round, co-invested with Growthdeck and EIS investors. Zayndu, a Loughborough University spin-out, has created a pioneering seed priming technology aimed at increasing crop yields without the use of environmentally harmful synthetic agricultural chemicals. The technology relies on a chemical-free pre-treatment using cold plasma activated air and electricity, which enhances seed growth. Since Foresight's initial investment in 2023, Zayndu has launched its initial product offerings and broadened its portfolio, backed by comprehensive customer data indicating improved plant yields. Recent funding will expedite technology commercialization, generate recurring revenue, and position the company for global expansion. Zayndu's CEO, Ralph Weir, highlighted the synergy between the startup's environmental and growth ambitions and Foresight's strategic investment agenda. This investment underscores Foresight's commitment to fostering high-growth, environmentally responsible ventures.
