Xycle Secures Investment to Scale Plastic Recycling Operations

Invest-NL, alongside ING, Dow, Polestar Capital, and Vopak, is investing in Xycle, a company focused on innovative chemical recycling of plastics. The funding will enable Xycle to establish its first commercial factory in the port of Rotterdam, where it will process 21,000 tons of plastic waste annually into pyrolysis oil, a renewable alternative to fossil raw materials. This investment, partly covered by an Invest-EU guarantee, underscores Xycle's pivotal role in the circular plastics economy, augmenting mechanical recycling by converting difficult-to-recycle plastic waste into valuable raw materials.
