Writer, a full-stack generative AI platform, has successfully raised $200 million in a Series C funding round, placing its valuation at $1.9 billion. The round was led by Premji Invest, Radical Ventures, and ICONIQ Growth, with significant participation from existing investor Balderton Capital. Originally launching its growth initiative with Balderton's investment in 2022, Writer plans to utilize this fresh capital to enhance its AI solutions, aimed at executing complex workflows for enterprises across healthcare, retail, and financial services sectors. Key customers include industry giants such as Mars, Ally Bank, Salesforce, Uber, and Accenture, highlighting Writer’s expanding influence in the AI space. The funding will also help innovate quick-start AI applications and agents, maintain Writer's pace of growth, and solidify its place as a leader in generative AI and knowledge management. In aligning its strategic priorities, Writer emphasizes integrating AI into business processes for optimizing ROI and productivity, largely due to its Palmyra LLMs and the newly released Palmyra X 004, which demonstrates advanced tool calling capabilities essential for complex actions and workflows.
