VSORA Revolutionizes AI Chip Production with €40 Million Funding Boost

VSORA, a pioneering French company and the sole European provider of ultra-high-performance AI inference chips, has successfully raised €40 million. The investment was led by Otium and a second French family office, with participation from Omnes Capital, Adélie Capital, and co-financing from the European Innovation Council's fund. VSORA has created a chip, the Jotunn8 (J8), that promises superior efficiency and performance, designed for critical applications such as generative AI, autonomous driving, robotics, and embedded AI. The demand for efficient and economical inference solutions is escalating, with the market projected to grow to $255 billion by 2030. VSORA's J8 chip outperforms existing solutions with over triple the performance and half the energy consumption. The funding will enable VSORA to finalize technology and initiate production in 2025, strengthening Europe's technological sovereignty in AI computation. Otium and other investors are excited about VSORA's potential to emerge as a major European leader in the AI chip market amid global giants like Nvidia.
