Vodafone Ukraine to Modernize Digital Infrastructure with Nokia and Finnvera

During the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome, a strategic Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Vodafone Ukraine, Nokia, and Finnvera, the Finnish export credit agency, to strengthen Ukraine's digital infrastructure. The partnership aims to expand 4G and GPON network coverage while ensuring network resilience during critical times such as shelling and power outages. Vodafone Ukraine emphasized its commitment by highlighting that it has invested over $400 million in network expansion and enhancement over the past three years. Nokia will enable the modernization of telecom networks, while Finnvera will potentially finance up to 30 million euros in Nokia telecommunications equipment over the next three years. Ukraine's Ministry of Digital Transformation is also part of the cooperative effort, ensuring that the initiative aligns with Ukraine's broader digital recovery strategy. With due diligence yet to be completed, the final decision on financing remains pending but will adhere to environmental and OECD export credit standards.
