MonacoSol, led by Richard Beaton and his sons, is a family office known for its focus on technology and software investments. The acquisition marks an expansion of MonacoSol's portfolio, which includes companies like Open ECX and Hiring Hub, all located in the North of England. As part of the acquisition, MonacoSol has taken a majority stake in virtualDCS for an undisclosed amount. The founders of virtualDCS, Richard May, John Murray, and Dan Nichols, will continue in their roles as the company embarks on its next growth phase. With this new investment, virtualDCS has relocated its headquarters to a larger office in Leeds and plans to increase its workforce. The company, with a turnover of £2.8 million, serves a diverse range of clients across different sectors.
