Vertafore, a provider of insurance software-as-a-service based in Denver, has announced its acquisition of Surefyre, a San Francisco-based submission and underwriting platform tailored for managing general agencies (MGAs) and wholesalers. Although the financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed, Vertafore is set to integrate Surefyre's advanced AI-driven functionalities into its existing ecosystem for MGAs, aiming to enhance market speed, cost efficiency, and revenue generation. Surefyre's technological offerings include a customizable portal for agents that facilitates policy lifecycle management and improves collaboration between agents and underwriters. The platform's underwriter workbench helps rate and quote specialty P/C businesses efficiently.
