Univar Solutions Expands with Brad-Chem Acquisition

Univar Solutions LLC, a leading global provider of specialty chemical and ingredient solutions, has announced the acquisition of UK-based Brad-Chem Holdings and its associated joint venture Brad-Kem, co-owned with Belgium-based DEM. This strategic acquisition is aimed at enhancing Univar's portfolio of corrosion control products and lubricant additives across Europe. Brad-Chem, known for its expertise in multi-metal corrosion inhibitors and lubricant additives, will integrate its offerings into Univar's network, elevating Univar's capabilities to meet the growing demand for specialty lubricant additives and base oils. Univar highlights that this acquisition is in line with its ambitious goal to broaden its service offerings across European markets, particularly in the sectors of lubricants, metalworking fluids, and CASE (coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers). Key personnel from both companies, including Chris Brady from Brad-Chem and Nick Powell and Matthew Oliver from Univar, have expressed their excitement over synergistic benefits and shared technical expertise that will arise from the merger.
