Ukrnafta Secures Majority Stake in Shell Gas Stations Through Acquisition of Alliance Holding

Ukrnafta, Ukraine's foremost oil company, has decided to enhance its market footprint by acquiring a 51% stake in Alliance Holding. This acquisition will give Ukrnafta control over Alliance Holding’s network of 118 Shell-branded gas stations spread across Ukraine, subject to regulatory clearance. Often recognized for its comprehensive involvement in the oil industry, Ukrnafta engages in activities ranging from oil exploration and production to selling oil and gas. With 92 permits for oil and gas field commercial development, it operates over 2,000 production wells and 547 petrol stations. The legal advisory for this acquisition was provided by Ukrainian law firm Sayenko Kharenko, with a team led by Partners Alina Plyushch and Oleksandr Nikolaichyk, among others.
