TWMA Shatters Ground for State-of-the-Art Drilling Waste Facility

TWMA, a leader in drilling waste management, has commenced construction on a groundbreaking facility in Habshan, Abu Dhabi. This new site, expected to be completed later this year and operational by 2025, will revolutionize the handling of drill cuttings with the capacity to process 300 tonnes daily. Notably, it will recover one barrel of oil or diesel per tonne, promoting self-sustainability. The facility, designed to manage waste from up to 100 rigs, will adhere to high HSEQ standards and incorporate TWMAs innovative XLink system for real-time insights. Cutting-edge RotoMill technology and an electric drive will enhance efficiency and reduce emissions. This strategic expansion will increase TWMAs global processing capacity by over 120,000 metric tons annually and create around 60 jobs locally. At the groundbreaking event, CEO Halle Aslaksen emphasized the company's commitment to innovation and sustainability across the Middle East.
