Trendyol, Türkiye's foremost e-commerce platform, has partnered with Castle Investments, led by Tarek Al Ashram, to develop and operate a substantial data center in Ankara, valued at roughly USD 500 million. The agreement entails a technological collaboration to create the Ankara Data Hub, a 48 MW IT capacity facility integrating advanced technologies and operational standards to cater to hyperscale cloud services and local enterprises. While Trendyol is set to occupy a significant proportion of this data center’s capacity to support its operational needs, the remaining capacity will be open to other enterprises and major cloud providers. The project is expected to significantly bolster Trendyol’s service capacity both locally and internationally and reinforce the region’s digital infrastructure.
