Tracsis CEO Chris Barnes Steps Down after 6 Years

Chris Barnes, the CEO of Tracsis plc, a Leeds-based tech firm, has announced his resignation effective at the end of the month after leading the company for six years. Tracsis, established in 2004, specializes in software, hardware, data analytics, and services for the rail, traffic data, and broader transport sectors. It reported earlier in the year that additional staff would be hired to bolster growth in light of disappointing first-half performance due to volatility in the UK rail market. Despite a 40% drop in share price over the past year, Tracsis is on track to meet its FY25 adjusted EBITDA projections. Barnes will be succeeded by David Frost, who joins from Sheffield's Ovarro and will officially take over the CEO role on August 1, 2025. Jill Easterbrook, the non-executive chair, praised Frost's extensive experience in the industrial technology domain. The company anticipates leveraging Frost’s expertise in organic growth, strategic initiatives, and M&A to drive future performance.
