The Hogan Lovells private equity team, comprising Graciela Llaneza, Hugo Muoz, and Mara Gutirrez, has successfully advised Tikehau Capital on the strategic sale of its Spanish biomass platform, ENSO, to Igneo Infrastructure Partners. This transaction underscores Tikehau Capital's private equity decarbonization strategy, highlighting its ability to create value by transforming ENSO from a Gestamp Renovables spin-off into a leading industrial decarbonization platform in Spain. ENSO currently operates five biomass plants with a total capacity of 200 megawatts, and it has plans to develop an additional 400 megawatts in the next three years. Under new ownership, ENSO is set to continue providing top-tier services to renowned clients such as Garca Carrin, Solvay, and International Paper. Hogan Lovells' team also supported Tikehau Capital during the acquisition of ENSO in 2019 and throughout its development until the recent exit.
