Thorpe Appointed as Bondi Partners Managing Director

Jeremy Thorpe, the former chief economist at PwC, has been appointed as the managing director for consulting at Bondi Partners, an advisory firm founded by former Australian treasurer Joe Hockey. Following a brief period at Sapere, Thorpe will coordinate with the advisory team in Washington, D.C. Established in 2020, Bondi Partners provides cross-border advisory services with a focus on areas such as mergers & acquisitions, supply chains, and cybersecurity. Joe Hockey, formerly Australia's ambassador to the US, founded the firm to leverage his extensive network and experience in politics and policy to serve the private sector. Bondi Partners is noted for its involvement in national security, medtech, and critical minerals sectors. Jeremy Thorpe's experience in economic and policy consulting will help navigate challenges such as energy transition and artificial intelligence in a global context. Thorpe has a strong background in economics, having worked with the Australian Productivity Commission and Commonwealth Treasury before his role at PwC, where he served as Canberra office managing partner and chief economist.
