Theo Health partners with Xander Schauffele for innovative SportTech development

Theo Health, a Glasgow-based SportTech company, has successfully raised £1.2 million and partnered with golf superstar and world number three, Xander Schauffele. This partnership aims to advance their innovative clothing platform, designed for elite athletes and their strength and conditioning coaches, providing real-time lab-grade data. Schauffele joins the company not just as an investor, but also as a founding Alpha Athlete, focusing on injury prevention and recovery. Founded by Jodie Sinclair, who was inspired by her own injury challenges, Theo Health's objective is to make recovery measurable and progress visible. The firm's first product is the Theo Alpha Shorts, which incorporate inertial measurement units into high-performance wearables, offering actionable feedback. David Sundberg, Schauffele's personal trainer, supports this technology for its ease of understanding and utility. Furthermore, Theo Health aims to address the gender data gap in sports injury studies by focusing on female physiology. The company is planning an extensive testing phase and mass market launch by summer 2027.
