The Club Company expands portfolio with Nottinghamshire acquisition

The Club Company, supported by private equity firm Epiris Managers LLP, has expanded its portfolio through the acquisition of The Nottinghamshire Golf & Country Club. This move highlights The Club Company's ongoing confidence in the growth of the golf and leisure industry, which has seen a surge of 10 million adult golfers globally since 2016. This award-winning club, voted as The Midlands' best golf course and comprising 36 holes and extensive facilities, aligns with The Club Company's mission to raise the profile of women's golf and promote inclusivity. The acquisition also includes a 30-room boutique hotel, enhancing The Club Company's hospitality offerings to eight hotels. Richard Calvert, CEO of The Club Company, expressed excitement over the acquisition, underscoring their commitment to investing in the club's facilities. Alan Hardy, the former owner, reflected on his 14-year journey with the club, expressing confidence in the new ownership's ability to continue developing the prestigious club.
