Terracon Expands with Acquisition of The Transtec Group

Terracon, a leading employee-owned engineering consulting firm, has acquired The Transtec Group, a prominent provider of pavement engineering solutions. Based in Austin, Texas, and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Transtec will now operate under the name The Transtec Group, A Terracon Company. This acquisition allows Terracon to broaden its pavement engineering services by integrating Transtec’s expertise in pavement research, testing, and consulting, as well as their well-recognized COMMAND Center brand in concrete monitoring. Following the acquisition, clients will benefit from a combination of Terracon’s national reach and Transtec’s specialized knowledge. Transtec's integration is part of Terracon’s strategy to enhance its service offerings in 2025, marking its 26th acquisition since 2017. Facilitated by Eight Quarter Advisors, the merger aims to leverage the strengths of both firms to provide advanced engineering solutions to clients across the U.S.
