TCS Appoints Sudeep Kunnumal as New CHRO, Replacing Milind Lakkad

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a leading IT services firm, has announced the appointment of Sudeep Kunnumal as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective March 14, 2025. Kunnumal, who has been with TCS since 2000, succeeds Milind Lakkad following his superannuation. His past roles within TCS include leading HR for the BFSI vertical. Kunnumal, who holds a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management from Madurai Kamaraj University, has championed strategic HR initiatives, innovative talent solutions, and process excellence across various global markets. His initiatives include developing strong value propositions for talent attraction and retention, introducing transformative gaming-based hiring methodologies, and spearheading the global programming contest, CodeVita. He has contributed significantly to TCS's talent integration in mergers and acquisitions and has been pivotal in driving HR strategies that align with organizational goals. Sudeep is expected to continue leveraging his extensive expertise and understanding of cross-cultural HR management to further transform TCS's workforce landscape.
