Abu Dhabi-based TAQA and Saudi Arabia's ACWA Power have been awarded major green hydrogen projects in Morocco, valued at nearly $32 billion in total. The Moroccan government selected these firms among others, including international entities such as China's United Energy Group, Germany’s Nordex, Spain’s Acciona, and Cepsa, following successful negotiations. In total, six hydrogen projects are slated for development in southern Morocco, focusing on carbon-neutral alternatives like green hydrogen-derived ammonia and industrial fuels.
