Talabat Holding has completed the acquisition of InstaShop Limited, one of MENA's leading online grocery marketplaces, from Delivery Hero. This strategic move is set to strengthen Talabat's grocery and retail market position by expanding its partner network across the region. With the acquisition, Talabat's pro forma Grocery and Retail Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) for 2024 is projected to exceed $2.50 billion, bolstering its regional market leadership. The deal was concluded for a total of $32 million, fully financed through Talabat's internal cash reserves. The acquisition is expected to yield significant operational and technological synergies for both companies as integration efforts are already in progress. Talabat's shares have been trading on the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) under the symbol TALABAT since December.
