Taaleem Expands With Strategic Acquisition in Dubai’s Education Sector
Deal News | Oct 31, 2024 | Zawya

Taaleem Holdings PJSC, a significant player in the K-12 premium education sector in the UAE, announced its acquisition of prime land and property assets in Dubai's sought-after Jumeirah Islands neighborhood. This 100% acquisition, pending standard legal approvals, includes premises currently functioning as Amity Early Learning Centre and located near the Taaleem-operated Dubai British School (DBS) Emirates Hills. The newly acquired assets will undergo renovations to be transformed into a self-contained campus for DBS, thereby expanding its current and future capacity by over 400 seats from the 2025 academic year. The acquisition aligns with Taaleem's growth strategy to enhance its facilities and offer premium education in high-demand regions. Post-renovation, the state-of-the-art campus will support early learning, featuring bespoke facilities for performing arts and sports tailored to younger children. This strategic move aims to be EBITDA and net profit positive by 2025, according to Taaleem, which already runs a portfolio of 33 schools and plans to continue investing in existing and upcoming projects such as DBS Jumeira and DBS Mira in Dubai.
