Syntiant Completes Acquisition of Knowles' MEMS Division

Syntiant Corp, a leading edge AI technology company, has announced the completion of its acquisition of Knowles Corporation’s Consumer MEMS Microphones (CMM) division for $150 million, marking a significant expansion of its product portfolio. This acquisition is poised to place Syntiant at the forefront of the rapidly growing MEMS microphone market. The move enables Syntiant to provide comprehensive edge AI audio solutions that integrate advanced sensors, processors, and machine learning models, thereby simplifying product development and speeding up the time-to-market for new audio applications. This acquisition aligns with Syntiant's strategy to advance in sectors like autonomous vehicles, smart home devices, and industrial automation. The acquisition was financially facilitated by Khazanah Nasional Berhad, Boardman Bay Capital Management, and Structural Capital. Khazanah's involvement reflects its goal to foster semiconductor advancement in Malaysia, whilst demonstrating confidence in Syntiant's leadership and innovation-driven approach. Syntiant has garnered global deployment of over 50 million Neural Decision Processors, serving an international clientele from consumer electronics to industrial applications, by leveraging its low-power AI capabilities.
