NextEnergy Capital Ltd., through its NextPower UK ESG fund, has acquired its twelfth asset, the Staughton Solar Farm, enhancing its renewable energy portfolio. With this acquisition, the NPUK portfolio capacity has increased to 565MW, with Staughton adding 50MW of operational solar capacity in Bedfordshire, UK. This move is part of NPUK's broader strategy of increasing clean energy supply, with a total of 178MW of operating solar assets and co-located energy storage in the UK. They also have an additional 387MW of solar and storage projects in development. The fund has successfully secured £683 million, surpassing its initial target of £500 million by 37%. Investors are in later stages of due diligence, with further investments expected soon. The acquisition aligns with NPUK’s objectives to outperform return and dividend targets, with current dividends already exceeding expectations.
