InfectoPharm Arzneimittel und Consilium GmbH, a family-owned pharmaceutical company, has acquired Sonormed GmbH, a digital health applications producer known for pioneering 'app on prescription' technology. The acquisition includes the digital health app Meine Tinnitus App, which is permanently listed as a reimbursable digital health application in Germany. High-Tech Gruenderfonds (HTGF), an early-stage investor, facilitated Sonormed's growth since 2014 and successfully exited with this transaction. The deal represents a strategic move to bolster InfectoPharm's ENT medicine portfolio and underscores the potential for digital therapies in patient care. Sonormed will continue to be managed by its co-founder, Jrg Land, under the InfectoPharm umbrella. HTGF, which boasts over 2 billion euros under management and a portfolio of more than 770 startups, sees this as a high-potential exit in the digital health market.
