Sodexo Expands North American Presence with CRH Catering Acquisition

Sodexo, the French multinational corporation known for food services and facilities management, has announced its intention to acquire CRH Catering, a leading convenience service provider in the Mid-Atlantic states of the U.S. This acquisition marks a significant expansion of Sodexo's InReach service offering in a rapidly growing $30 billion convenience market. CRH Catering, a family-owned business based in Pennsylvania, brings with it advanced technology systems for cashless vending and dynamic planning, along with a bottled water production facility. This purchase will boost Sodexo's multichannel offerings, including micro-markets and on-site dining services, enhancing strategic synergies between its production capabilities and convenience offerings in key Northern and Mid-Atlantic regions. With this acquisition, Sodexo aims to achieve $500 million in revenue from InReach by the end of 2025. The acquisition, expected to close in the first half of the 2025 fiscal year, represents Sodexo's seventh purchase in the convenience sector since 2022. CRH Catering's alignment in values and excellence with Sodexo promises a smooth transition and cooperation, as highlighted by Sodexo's North America CEO, Sarosh Mistry, and CRH Catering's leadership, Joe and Peter Cordaro.
