Snocks Acquires Insolvent FEMTIS GmbH with Taylor Wessing's Guidance

German retailer Snocks has proceeded with the acquisition of the assets of the insolvent company FEMTIS GmbH, with guidance from Taylor Wessing. This strategic move by Snocks, known for its high-quality basic wear, strengthens its position in the sustainable clothing market by acquiring FEMTIS, a pioneer in period underwear. The acquisition follows Snocks’ previous buyout of the activewear brand OceansApart, initially managed by the now insolvent Rise Up Fashion GmbH. Legal advice for both transactions was provided by Taylor Wessing, led by Dr Mark Hoenike. Snocks, founded in 2016 and generating a turnover of €70 million in 2023, continues to expand its portfolio with this addition. Concurrently, FEMTIS, despite its commendable focus on comfort, safety, and sustainability, faced insolvency issues. The acquisition underscores Snocks' ambition to diversify and reinforce its offerings in the apparel industry, specifically targeting sustainable and innovative products.
