Smart ID Technology Acquires Majority Stake in AB Systems

Deloitte Legal-affiliated firm Reff & Associates has provided legal counsel to Smart ID Technology, a process automation specialist and part of the Sarmis Capital portfolio, on their acquisition of a majority interest in AB Systems. Smart ID Technology is enhancing its capabilities through this transaction, which remains subject to regulatory approval. AB Systems specializes in the production of durable barcode and RFID smart labels, catering primarily to the automotive, logistics, and retail industries. EY Law's affiliate firm Bancila, Diaconu si Asociatii represented the sellers in the deal. The Reff & Associates legal team was led by Partner Georgiana Singurel and included several other legal professionals. This acquisition highlights the strategic growth objectives of Smart ID Technology in the sectors of automation and smart labeling.
