Italian firm Sinloc Investimenti has launched its first private equity fund, 'Fondo Infrastructure & Transition Energy' (ITEF), amassing over €50 million within two and a half months of fundraising. The fund targets investments in local infrastructure and energy transition projects with a 12-year horizon, aiming to invest in 10 to 15 projects assisted by a pipeline of potential investments exceeding €100 million. Compliant with SFDR Article 9, the investments will focus on sustainability, with projects including single-investment project companies using public-private partnership structures, and operational companies in need of growth capital. For two decades, the Sinloc Group has been involved in infrastructure and energy sectors, participating in approximately 1,350 public-private projects, mainly at the local level, garnering €850 million in investments. Antonio Rigon, CEO of Sinloc, expressed confidence in directing resources from the fund into projects that benefit local development with balanced risk-return profiles and positive impacts.
