Simon Johnson Takes the Helm at Light & Wonder's iGaming Division

Light & Wonder has announced further changes to its global leadership structure by appointing Simon Johnson as the CEO of its iGaming business. Johnson, who joined the company in 2017, has previously served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director International with responsibilities encompassing Asia. In his new role, Johnson will report directly to Light & Wonder President and CEO Matt Wilson and will join the company's Executive Leadership Team. Simon Johnson's professional background is diverse, initiating his career in investment banking with a specialization in mergers and acquisitions and cross-border transactions, followed by leadership roles in private equity, telecommunications, and financial technology sectors. This move follows Light & Wonder’s announcement of leadership transitions in Asia, which included Glenn Huybrecht being promoted to Vice President & Managing Director, Asia, and Ken Jolly transitioning into the position of VP of Strategic Development, Asia.
