Sicer Partners with Ardian for Strategic Stake Acquisition

Deal News | Jan 14, 2025 | PedersoliGattai

Ardian has signed binding agreements to purchase a minority stake in Sicer, a prominent company that innovates and produces high-quality coatings for the ceramics sector. This acquisition will bolster the positions of Gianfranco Padovani and Giuliano Ferrari, Sicer's Executive Chairman and CEO respectively, who are reinvesting to acquire a majority stake. The majority stake had been previously held by Demos 1, a private equity fund managed by Azimut Libera Impresa SGR since November 2020. Law firm PedersoliGattai represented Ardian throughout the acquisition process, deploying a versatile team under the leadership of partner Stefano Catenacci. The firm's team, specialized in corporate M&A, finance, and antitrust aspects, provided comprehensive support to Ardian during due diligence.
