Sibanye-Stillwater Forms Partnership with C5 Capital to Boost Nuclear Energy

C5 Capital, a renowned global investment firm specializing in advanced nuclear and clean energy sectors, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Sibanye-Stillwater to jointly explore opportunities in the nuclear energy field across South Africa, the United States, and globally. Sibanye-Stillwater, a major mining and metals processor, holds significant uranium resources, enhancing the potential of this strategic partnership. Their collaboration will focus on the acquisition, financing, and development of uranium projects aimed at supplying Small Modular Reactors (SMRs). Both companies bring substantial expertise and resources to this endeavor. C5 Capital, a member of the World Nuclear Association, is committed to tripling nuclear energy capacity by 2050, as endorsed during the COP29 UN Climate Change Conference. Leaders from both firms expressed enthusiasm, noting the transformative potential for clean energy solutions underscored by this partnership.
