Shinton Appointed as Interim Director in Clarksville-Montgomery County

Lori Shinton, the Chief Volunteerism Officer of United Way Greater Nashville (UWGN), has been appointed as the interim director for Clarksville-Montgomery County. A native of Clarksville, Shinton has played a pivotal role in leading relief efforts following natural disasters and has been actively involved in establishing local volunteer infrastructures, such as the Clarksville-Montgomery County Long-Term Recovery Group and the Hands On Clarksville volunteer site. In her interim role, she will focus on strategic areas including assessment, funding, donor engagement, and volunteerism, aiming to replicate successful service models across other regions. Her appointment comes amid a period of expansion for UWGN, which recently merged with United Way branches in neighboring counties to strengthen regional impact. ONeal Wiggins, a UWGN Board Member, acknowledges Shinton's commitment to community growth and her strategic vision in fostering community engagement.
