Procuritas Capital Investors V has entered a share purchase agreement involving the divestment of all shares in Swedish Electromagnet Invest AB (SEM) to PHINIA Inc, a prominent player in premium fuel systems, electrical systems, and aftermarket solutions. SEM, a Swedish company established in 1915, specializes in developing ignition systems. Under Procuritas' ownership, SEM has seen revenue growth exceeding 50%, alongside maintaining robust profitability margins. This achievement comes despite several macro-level challenges, as SEM further expanded into new markets and customer bases. The company has recently developed ignition systems for zero-emission commercial vehicles as a part of the green transition. As the final exit of the Procuritas Capital Investors V fund, this divestment surpasses initial targets by achieving over 3x gross return. Strategic partnerships and growth in green sectors mark SEM’s journey ahead under PHINIA’s ownership. The transaction, scheduled for completion in Q3 2025, awaits approval from the Swedish Inspectorate of Strategic Products.
