SCZone Secures $25M Deal with India's Willow Ferro for Metal Plant in Sinai

The General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) has signed a $25 million contract with Indian company Willow Ferro to develop a metal industries project in the Technology Valley, located east of Ismailia in Egypt's Sinai region. The facility will cover 40,000 square meters, aiming to produce 36,000 tons of silicon manganese annually and create 120 direct jobs. The plant will initially focus on the production of ferrosilicon and ferrochrome. This project adds to the total investment in the Technology Valley, which now amounts to $42 million across 135,000 square meters, generating 770 direct jobs. SCZone's Chairman Waleid Gamal El-Dein stressed that the organization is committed to attracting international investment by leveraging the area's strategic proximity to Ismailia's new city and essential ports in Sinai.
