SCZone Launches $15.9 Million Treegas Project in Sokhna

The Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) has inaugurated the Treegas project, a composite liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder manufacturing plant, in the Sokhna Industrial Zone. The project accounts for a total investment of $15.9 million and will be developed in two phases. Phase one, with an investment of $14 million, will see the construction of a factory capable of annually producing 500,000 composite LPG cylinders using cutting-edge technology aligned with global standards. This phase will also spawn 250 direct job opportunities and establish the necessary operational infrastructure. The second phase, with a $7 million investment, is dedicated to assembling gas pressure regulators and valves, furthering the localization of these crucial manufacturing technologies.
