Sagittarius Energy Expands in Ecuador with Orion Acquisition

Sagittarius Energy has successfully acquired Orion, Ecuador's fourth-largest independent oil and gas operator, marking one of the most significant private transactions in the country's energy sector in recent years. The deal was facilitated by legal advisory firms Gentile Law and Mariscal Abogados in Spain, under the leadership of Luca Goy and Irene Terrazas, respectively. The acquisition, valued in the high eight-digit range, extends Sagittarius Energy's presence in Latin America. Orion operates in the Oriente Basin and produces approximately 5,000 barrels of oil and 3 million cubic feet of natural gas daily. The deal illustrates Sagittarius Energy's strategic efforts to capitalize on high-potential markets and signifies increased investor confidence in Ecuador’s energy sector. Furthermore, this transaction marks the exit of the Clermont Group from Orion, an entity they had significantly developed.
