Rivan Raises £10m for Synthetic Fuel Innovation

London-based Rivan has secured £10 million in funding to advance its research and development of synthetic fuels. The capital will be used to enhance its electrolyser, direct-air-capture, and Sabatier reactor modules while scaling its pilot plant up to 1MW. Rivan aims to reduce the 22% of global emissions from heavy industry reliant on natural gas, offering modular plants powered by off-grid solar to inject synthetic natural gas into pipelines. With a production facility in Bermondsey, Rivan's first pilot has been deployed at a decommissioned UK military base.
