Retelit Strengthens with BT Italia Acquisition

Retelit, a telecommunications company in Italy focused on the B2B market, has signed an agreement with BT Italia to acquire its Italian B2B assets. This deal will allow Retelit to enhance its fiber network by 11,500 km, expanding its total network to over 47,000 km, and increase its data center capacity by an additional 10MW. These improvements will bolster Retelit’s position in the corporate market within Italy by offering a more comprehensive range of ICT infrastructure and services ultimately supporting the innovation and digital transformation of Italian companies. The transition of BT's existing clients, who generated revenues of approximately 160 million euros in 2024, to Retelit marks a significant step in Retelit's growth, as it becomes a vibrant, fully B2B-focused entity. Jefferies served as the financial advisor to BT Italia in this transaction. The deal remains subject to approval by the appropriate regulatory authorities.
