QuantumLight's £190m Fund Closure Spells New VC Beginnings

QuantumLight, founded by Revolut's Nik Storonsky, has successfully closed its inaugural fund at $250 million (approximately £190 million). This venture capital firm is set on pioneering a new approach to investing by using AI models, specifically software named Aleph, to identify promising growth-stage companies. The focus spans multiple sectors, including AI, Web3, FinTech, SaaS, and HealthTech. Fund I is supported by top-tier LPs, including well-known tech billionaires and institutions. Alongside the fund announcement, QuantumLight introduced a new operating playbook, ‘Hiring Top Talent’, co-authored by Storonsky. This playbook provides a structured recruitment process aiming to help founders build high-performing teams efficiently. Storonsky aims to apply lessons from Revolut's expansion to QuantumLight’s investment ethos, sharing strategies that have been instrumental to Revolut’s success. Meanwhile, Revolut disclosed impressive profits amounting to £1.1 billion, bolstering Storonsky's reputation in the financial tech industry.
