QED Technologies International, a leader in precision optics and metrology solutions, is set to significantly expand its operations in Monroe County, Rochester, with a $18.7 million investment. The plan includes the development of a state-of-the-art optics fabrication and customer service center, which will add up to 72 new jobs over five years. Supported by Empire State Development (ESD) with an incentive of up to $1.5 million via the Excelsior Jobs Tax Credit Program, this expansion aims to bolster Rochester's status as a global hub for optics, photonics, and imaging.
