Puresport, a wellness brand based in Glasgow and founded by former Scotland rugby players Adam Ashe and Grayson Hart, has secured £3.6 million in fresh funding to boost its UK market presence, lay the groundwork for international expansion, and invest in new product development. Puresport, initially recognized for its pioneering efforts in the CBD industry, has since shifted its focus to performance nutrition. Its current product range includes hydration blends, adaptogenic mushrooms, and creatine, with future science-backed supplements planned to enhance endurance, recovery, and long-term health. The investment was led by Redrice Ventures and Five Seasons Ventures, two early-stage consumer-focused venture capital firms, alongside continued participation from existing shareholders, including rugby luminaries Finn Russell and Ben Earl. This capital injection raises Puresport's total investment to over £5 million and initiates a new era under CEO Daniel Temm. Temm is a former rugby professional aiming to establish Puresport as a lasting influence in performance nutrition. The CEO emphasized ambitions to scale in the UK, the US, and globally. Robert Senior from Redrice Ventures emphasized the potential of Puresport to redefine the wellness category, appreciating its authenticity and community-led approach in a market often filled with ephemeral trends.
