PSI's Sale of Transcom Enhances Long-term Strategy
Deal News | Apr 16, 2025 | Legal Community Germany

A multidisciplinary team from PwC Legal and PwC Germany has advised PSI Software on the divestment of its mobility business unit, PSI Transcom, to Altamount, a portfolio company of CHAPTERS Group AG. The transaction involved drafting and negotiation of the sale and purchase agreement, which was signed in December 2024 and concluded in March 2025, post regulatory approval by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action. This strategic move allows PSI to concentrate further on industrial software for network and energy management sectors. The divestment aligns with PSI's strategy to sustain long-term sales and earnings growth. PSI Transcom will enhance Altamount's offerings in the area of critical services. The advisory team was led by Moritz Grning and Dr. Danielle von Hegel from PwC Legal, alongside Steffen Apfel and Marco Minnerup from PwC Germany.
