Prysmian acquisisce Channell per $950 milioni

Prysmian Group, a leading global supplier in the cable and connectivity industry, has reached an agreement to acquire Channell Commercial Corporation, an integrated solutions provider in the U.S. connectivity sector, for $950 million. The final acquisition cost includes a potential additional payment contingent on Channell meeting specific EBITDA targets by 2025, potentially amounting to an extra $200 million. Legal advice for Prysmian was provided by Freshfields, while DLA Piper assisted Channell. The agreed acquisition price implies an EBITDA multiple of less than 8.0x. This transaction is pending customary conditions, including regulatory approvals, and is expected to conclude by the second quarter of 2025. The acquisition will be financed through a balanced mix of debt and equity, including hybrid bonds and the sale of treasury shares.
