Prof. Marcin Górski appointed new Director of Łukasiewicz Lodz Institute of Technology

Prof. Marcin Górski has been appointed as the new Director of the Łukasiewicz Lodz Institute of Technology following an open qualification procedure. The appointment was endorsed by the Łukasiewicz Institute Council, chaired by Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik of the Lodz University of Technology. Prof. Górski is a legal counsellor and an experienced manager with a robust background in academia, having served as an associate professor at the University of Lodz and the director of the Legal Department of the City of Lodz Office until 2025. He has authored nearly 200 scientific publications and is a Fulbright scholarship holder. Additionally, he serves as an ad hoc judge at the European Court of Human Rights and represents the University of Lodz in legal affairs. Alongside this change, Prof. Renata Łyżwa has been announced as the Deputy Director for Research at the Łukasiewicz IT, bringing over 20 years of experience to the position, and leading the Centre for Circular Economy.
