Procon X-ray Acquired by LK Metrology

LMS has assisted LK Metrology Group Ltd in acquiring Procon X-ray, a company that specializes in developing and producing X-ray computed tomography systems for industrial use. The acquisition allows LK Metrology to expand its product offerings in the coordinate measuring machine (CMM) sector by incorporating systems for X-ray topography and 3D metrology. Founded in England in 1963, LK Metrology has a rich history of innovations in CMM technology. After operating as a division within Nikon Metrology, LK Metrology became an independent CMM manufacturer in 2018 and further extended its commercial offerings by acquiring laser scanner and software divisions from Nikon in 2024. The headquarters of LK Metrology remain in the United Kingdom, with additional offices located in North America, Europe, and China, supported by a global distributor network. This transaction is set to enhance LK Metrology's business in the CMM sector significantly, ensuring a seamless transition for customers and distributors through close collaboration between LK Metrology and Procon X-ray.
