Portland Estates Management: A New Era Post-Dodds Brown Acquisition

Stockton-based commercial property firm Portland Estates Management has acquired Dodds Brown, an esteemed firm with a 130-year history in commercial property. The acquisition aims to leverage Portland's expertise in property management with Dodds Brown's specializations in selling, letting, and landlord/tenant services. All staff from Dodds Brown will be retained, joining a 14-member team at Portland's newly refurbished Stockton office. Directors Barbara Blenkinsop, Olly Lawson, and Richard Wilson expressed enthusiasm about the merger, highlighting the diversity and completeness of the services offered by the joint venture. The acquisition includes plans to sell Dodds Browns Middlesbrough office and to add roles to ensure a smooth transition, marking Portland Estates as the only agency of its kind in the Tees Valley dedicated to minimizing outsourced functions.
