Plenitude Begins Construction of 200 MW Solar Plant in Spain

Plenitude has commenced the construction of a 200 MW solar plant, Entrencleos, in the Seville municipalities of Dos Hermanas and Coria del Río, Spain, as part of its renewable energy expansion strategy in the region. The project consists of 326,000 solar panels divided across four facilities: Granville, Killington, Plumlee, and Rickwood, each with a 50 MWp capacity. The new plant will occupy over 300 hectares and is anticipated to generate more than 435 GWh annually by 2026, providing clean energy to thousands of homes. The connectivity to the national grid will be facilitated through the SET Entrencleos substation, linking with another developer and the Red Eléctrica Española substation. The construction contract has been awarded to the Spanish firm Solarig, emphasizing the use of green steel structures with zero carbon emissions. Additionally, the project includes environmental initiatives such as vegetation barriers and sustainable agriculture measures to protect endangered steppe birds. Entrencleos becomes Plenitude's third major solar development in Andalusia, complementing projects in Guillena and Caparacena, while enhancing its customer base in the region. The company’s legal team, led by Loredana Pasqualini and Yasin Naimi, played a key role in facilitating the operation.
