Court Square Capital Partners, a prominent U.S. middle-market private equity firm, has announced the closure of a single-asset continuation fund meant to further its partnership with PlayCore Group, Inc., a leader in multi-brand playground and recreation products. Sage Equity Investors, backed significantly by Leonard Green & Partners, led the investment and provided additional capital to fuel PlayCore's future growth strategies, including organic expansion and mergers and acquisitions. This transaction allows existing investors the opportunity for liquidity while maintaining stakes in the company. PlayCore, headquartered in Chattanooga, Tennessee, specializes in various commercial recreational equipment and aims to foster community development. Evercore and Goldman Sachs served as financial advisors, while Kirkland & Ellis LLP and Ropes & Gray LLP provided legal counsel on the deal.
