Phoenix Tower Expands in Ireland with Cellnex Acquisition

Phoenix Tower International (PTI) has finalized the acquisition of Cellnex Telecom’s business operations in Ireland, a transaction valued at approximately €971 million. This acquisition makes PTI one of the largest owners of telecommunications towers in Ireland and is part of the company's broader strategy to enhance connectivity and telecommunications infrastructure in the region, thereby benefitting both local consumers and mobile network operators. Dagan Kasavana, CEO of PTI, emphasized that this strategic move underscores PTI's commitment to growing its operations in Europe, contributing to Ireland's evolving telecom landscape, and collaborating closely with local stakeholders, including Cellnex and regulatory authorities. Advisors to PTI on this deal included Nomura and Arthur Cox. As a result of the transaction, PTI now owns and operates over 29,000 telecom towers across regions including Europe, the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Founded in 2013 and backed by leading investment firms such as Blackstone and Blackrock, PTI continues to position itself as a premier provider for wireless operators in high-growth markets.
